film and tv menu

Animation cel autographed by
William Hanna and Joseph Barbera
The show was sponsored by the Rexall retail chain, who produced some tie-in comics for advertising purposes and gave them away to customers in their shops.

Rexall really milked the "Alice" connection. Here are some examples of their Bubble-bath range.
In addition to the Rexall comics, there were some other tie-in products available, including a glass tea tray decorated with a colourful picture of the main characters (right).

Alice chats to the Cheshire Cat (Sammy Davis Junior)

The soundtrack album was released shortly after the show aired and still comes up on Ebay occasionally.
THE SOUNDTRACK ALBUM
The music and lyrics were by Charles Strouse and Lee Adams, with musical arrangements by Marty Paitch and Hoyt Curtin.

Sammy Davis Jr., in addition to supplying the speaking voice of the Cheshire Cat, also provided a song entitled "What's a Nice Kid Like You?". When Hanna-Barbera Records put out the soundtrack album of the special, Sammy Davis Jr. was apparently unavailable or too costly. He was replaced on the album by Scatman Crothers, who re-recorded the song.

While Mel Blanc and Alan Reed both provided the speaking voices for their Flintstone characters, Fred's singing voice was provided by Henry Corden, the man who assumed the role of Fred's voice in 1977 after Reed's death. Their song, as the two-headed caterpillar was "They'll Never Split Us Apart", performed as a catchy 'vaudeville' number.
