![]() Alice played by Annie Enneking. |
A stage play performed by The Children's Theatre Company and the School of Minneapolis which was released on home video and still available today. It was adapted by Sharon Holland, directed by John Driver and produced by John Clark Donahue.Although entitled "Alice In Wonderland", the storyline takes elements from both of the 'Alice' stories. It starts outdoors, with Alice and her sister on the riverbank, then moves to interior sets as she follows the White Rabbit underground. It appears to be largely videotaped on the actual stage sets and, while it works very well visually with it's bright sets and colourful characters, it's slightly spoiled by the actors bellowing their lines as if they were performing for a live audience several hundred feet away rather than the whisper-sensitive microphone.

Annie Enneking is now 33 years old and still lives in Minneapolis. She is described as "a multi-disciplined performer who has been seen in numerous venues around the Twin Cities and across the nation, in various capacities--as an actor, dancer, and musician. She is currently a member of the folk-rock trio The Brawny Motherfolkers, but cut her musical teeth as a solo singer-songwriter. Whether alone or with her band, she writes spare tales of heartbreak that are at once humorous, ironic and wrenching. Her vocals are well thought out with songs that are both soft and sensual. Her self-produced CD 'Fast and Good Looking' has been well received". Annie lives in south Minneapolis with Jeremy Norton, Minneapolis firefighter, fiction writer, and teacher, and their daughter Flannery. |
